Your guide to Zemun and Belgrade during The Sassoon Experience masterclass.
How to get here from the airport, where to park, where to stay, what to eat and what to see — all in one place, without searching.
Guide
This guide is for people arriving in Zemun on 26 November with no time to search. Everything you need for a day or two: how to get here, where to leave the car, where to sleep, what to eat, and what to see if you stay a little longer.
The event takes place at Opera & Theatre Madlenianum on Glavna, in the old core of Zemun. That matters: Zemun is not central Belgrade. If you head for Knez Mihailova on the map, you are crossing to the other side of the city.
Distances are walking times, rounded. Check prices, hours and terms on site, or directly with the hotel or restaurant.
Geography
Madlenianum sits in the old core of Zemun. Hotel, lunch, coffee, garage and the Danube — all closer than you think. Glavna is pedestrian here: you arrive by car from Preradovićeva, and park in the surrounding streets or the Pinki garage — not in front of the entrance.
Arrival
The official voucher taxi, or the free number 72 bus to New Belgrade.
Free BG Voz to Zemun, then a bus to Trg Branka Radičevića — or a 15–20 minute taxi.
Taxi 1,000–1,500 RSD, or BG Voz from New Belgrade.
Recommendation
Street parking nearby has time limits and is not practical for a full day. For the masterclass we recommend the Pinki garage — 150 spaces, open 24 hours, 1,500 RSD daily ticket, six minutes on foot.

Doors open at 9, the programme starts at 10 and is planned to end around 16. The programme is in English, with translation into Serbian. The detailed break schedule will be published once confirmed.
Upstairs
The HairHub Cafe is upstairs and open for conversation during the breaks and after the programme. Drinks are ordered and paid at the bar, according to the price list.
Venue
The first private opera house in this part of Europe — founded in 1997, opened in 1999. Today one of Belgrade’s representative cultural spaces — and, for this day, the centre of the region’s hair industry. The entrance is on the pedestrian stretch of Glavna; by car you approach from Preradovićeva or via Veliki trg.

The city will not wait for you. Leave twenty minutes earlier.
Everything else — map, taxi, lunch, room — is settled in these six chapters. If something is not, the HairHub team is.
